How It Began
A small gathering that grew into a movement.
Placeholder: What started as a small community gathering in Old Trafford quickly revealed something larger — a deep, unmet need for safe, culturally sensitive spaces where women could come together, be heard and begin to heal.
Placeholder: Over time, more women came, more needs emerged, and WETA grew from a grassroots idea into a registered Community Interest Company delivering life-changing programmes across Greater Manchester.
How We Work
We come to you.
Placeholder: We don't wait for women to find us. We go into communities, mosques, community centres and homes. We remove the barriers that stop women from accessing the support they deserve.
Our programmes are multilingual, trauma-informed and built around real needs. We speak your language and move at your pace.
What We Stand For
Engage • Educate • Empower
These three words guide how we design our programmes, how we show up for women in our community, and what we believe is possible when women are truly supported.
