How It Began
One henna workshop. Thousands of lives changed.
WETA began with a single henna workshop. What followed was something far greater: women who had never had a space like this came, stayed, and kept coming back. It became clear that a gap existed, and we built a bridge.
That bridge is a culturally safe and sensitive space where women can come together, speak their own languages, and openly discuss anything that supports their quality of life. From one workshop, a movement was born.
Our Model
Participants become leaders.
People come to WETA as participants. They do not stay as participants. They become volunteers. They become facilitators. And then the sky is the limit. So many women who started with us are now working across different organisations and leading meaningful change in their communities.
Every member of our team was once a participant in this organisation. That is not a coincidence. That is the WETA model.
